Cycling photography is a specialised field within sports photography. It is the art
of capturing the beauty and excitement of cycling, from the fast-paced action
of a grand tour stage to the more contemplative moments away from the action.
To capture these moments, photographers need to be familiar with the sport and understand the nuances of cycling.

It requires an understanding of the physical environment and the special gear that cyclists use, as well as an eye for composition and the ability to anticipate moments of action. And many cycling photographers are also great landscape photographers.
